Information we collect
Usage & analytics data. We use PostHog to understand how people use the site — pages viewed, features used (such as playing letter audio or completing a quiz), approximate location, device and browser type. This is collected using cookies and similar local storage. Our analytics are hosted in the EU.
Email address. If you sign up for our newsletter, request the free cheat sheet, or contact us, we collect the email address you provide (and any message you send). Form submissions are processed by Formspree.
We do not ask for or store payment information on this site — books and the app are purchased through Amazon and the app stores, under their own privacy policies.
How we use it
To operate and improve the site, understand what's helpful, deliver the resources you request (like the cheat sheet), send occasional updates if you've subscribed, and respond to messages you send us. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run ads.
Cookies
We use cookies and local storage for analytics via PostHog. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking them won't stop you using the free course.
Third parties we rely on
We share limited data with service providers that help us run the site: PostHog (analytics), Formspree (form and email processing), Google Drive (hosting the cheat-sheet download), and Netlify (website hosting). Outbound links — such as to Amazon, the app stores, or drmoku.com — are governed by those sites' own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can ask us to access or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from emails at any time. Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU or UK under the GDPR), you may have additional rights. To make a request, email info@drmoku.com.
Children
Some of our material is designed to help children learn Arabic, but the site is intended to be used by adults, including parents and teachers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
